Augustus Berlinsky and the Alpena Flyer

Unknown friend (left), and my great great grandfather Gus (Augustus) Berlinsky (spelling changed to Brilinski during WWII to avoid persecution). Driving an Alpena Flyer—the first automobile in Alpena, Michigan. First photo taken between 1912-1914.

Second and third photos taken from the website quoted below:

“In Michigan’s northeastern lower peninsula, an automobile manufacturing glimmer became a reality in 1910 with the Alpena Motor Car Company (AMCC). The company produced the Alpena Flyer… Records showed only 450 to 500 vehicles were produced between 1910 and 1914, and AMCC employees only numbered 75.”
